Am I the only one that finds it slightly disheartening that the a good chunk of the "hot mods" are womens clothing? Just now logging into nexus, the front page hot mods has 4 out of the 5 as skimpy womens clothing. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that all the "latest images" are of women characters in said clothing. It makes one wonder what that's telling Bethesda what direction they should go for TES VI. :ohdear:

while a lot of players like their skimpy armor the reality of that statement is if they felt they needed to do it to sell games they would have for Skyrim, you never saw oblivions top mod lists :P

The issue I have is that these mods "seem" (from the front page images I see" to have childlike anime faces - which seriously makes me think about the kind of people who make mods...

As a modder myself, who loves this site distribute my cute rabbit mod, and my scary hagravens mod, it really sucks having them drowned out by sick perverts skimp mods and wierd creepy anime mods.

*ergh*

I'm glad the front page doesn't show anything explicit, but I shudder to think what kind of mods are in the adult sections. *vomits*

Sexual stuff isn't sick or perverted. You were born, yes? Presumably, or I doubt we'd be having this conversation. In a way, though, you're correct. When the mods go beyond making characters look natural and start adding blimps atop wasp-waists, we have a problem. The problem isn't with the people making those mods being perverted though, it's with everyone of the female gender being objectified by said mods.

Do we need yet another one of these threads? Really, OP, have you, like, read any of the threads in the first couple pages at all? This is being actively discussed in another thread on the first page...

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with adult content, provided it is above board and not unnatural.

The fact many mods appear to be pushing for childlike-anime faces is also very very disturbing. I sorely hope these and the type of mods you mention above are not being packaged together, nexus could have a lawsuit on its hands very very easily.

Unnatural? Pffaw! Humans are natural creatures. Whether it's right or wrong, nothing we do can be inherently unnatural. As for morality, there's a signifcant case to argue that the body is the least important part of a human. I haven't seen any mods to reduce the vocabulary of female NPCs to the equivalent of a seven-year-old to simulate anything creepy. Humans are attracted to all kinds of strange things, usually due to genetics. You wouldn't call a 28 year old man dating a 28 year old woman with small breasts a pedophile, nor would you call someone dating a woman with large eyes the same. Just because someone is attracted to a specific trait like a small chin doesn't make them a creeper just lurking, waiting to drag a female into a van.

You could even argue that Skyrim in its entirety is disturbed merely because the NPCs you can marry technically have no choice in the matter.

Note that I studied Sociology and Psychology for the past few years.

lol good point a reason I personally don't use the marriage system much...its not like any bond devolps you just kinda pick an advantageous one and demand she give in
