Mike1224
Hello. The game launches, I load the save and it loads, I can see the place but after a second the game crashes to desktop. I play for an year and an half on this save :( Should I try a save cleaner? The mods that I have are mostly textures mods and quest mods.Falskaar, Beyond Reach, Wyrmstooth, Agent of Righteous Might, Undeath, Moon and Star. NLVA Enb.As I said I play for a long time and finished all these mods. The last finished is Agent of Righteous Might. I saved after I exited the Mythic Dawn hideout. The next day when I reloaded the save, CTD just after the save loads. Every timeI never unistalled a mod. Mike1224
Extra infoI also have Beyond Skyrim Bruma. That is the only save that I've got. Usually I save often but after I finished Agent of Righteous Might, I saved the game and deleted all previous saves. Loot sorted the load order. Everything worked alright, finished the mods. And sudenly the save doesn't work. I tried Failrim but it didn't find problems. I'll try other save cleaners and as a last thing I'll delete everything and reinstall . Maybe than it will load. OrXain
Where about are you when it is CTD? are you in a modded cell or cell which has been edited by other mods? Whats the most recent mod you installed? It could be a mod incompatibility or you may simply need a compatibility patch between the mods you use if they do conflict. But a CTD usually means the game is trying to refer to something that is missing or a reference that has been deleted which it cant find. Could also be memory limitations, I would try run the save without any mods, and if it works activate one at a time until you find the one causing the issues. Mike1224
Thanks for the reply! The last installed mod is Agent of Righteous Might. I installed on an existing save. Everything worked fine for weeks. Yesterday I finished the mod. I exited the Mythic Dawn Hideout, a cave, added by the mod, and I made a save right there. Today when I reloaded the save, it loads but after a second ctd. So I was near the entrance, a place added by the mod. Is there a tool that could tell me if something is missing? Wrye Bash? OrXain
Have you exited that cave before? Or is it only possible on finishing the mod? That particular part may now only be crashing as it is conflicting with something and you've only just uncovered it. Wrye Bash will tell you if its missing anything but I don't think that's the problem, which mod manager are you using? Can you untick the mods .esp file and then reload that save and see if it works? I would say its best to have some saves as backup in case something like this happens but I don't think you need me to tell you that!
Mike1224
I existed the cave many times. It never crashed. Before this accident, the game was stable enough. One or two times a week crashed. That happened during game startup, right before the logo but I restarted and worked fine. I'm using Wrye Bash as a manager. And loot for sorting. I installed all mods manually, except Static Mesh Improvement. For this I used Wrye. When I installed manually, I just copy the files in the right folders following the instructions, and activate the mod in wrye bash.
Mike1224
I will untick the esp and see if it loads. Thank you for trying to help me.
OrXain
Hey no problem I try to help when I can. Your doing the right thing using LOOT for sorting, personally though I would use either Mod Organizer or Nexus Mod Manger for Skyrim, not many mods are BAIN friendly and prefer the use of NMM. Although as long as you follow the instructions and don't make any mistakes installing manually should still work, its just I wouldn't advise it as managers like MO or NMM give you more control and controlling what overwrites what. It does sound strange that its been working for a long time only to then not work with installing no other mods. Give that a try first and see it lets you load. If not I would untick all the others just to test that save.
OrXain
I would also use SKSE and the memory patch if you don't already as that saved my game from crashing quite a lot. Make sure to use these tweaks as listed in that guide: [Memory] defaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 scrapHeapSizeMB=256 Edited October 11, 2017 by RyReZar
Mike1224
I have Skse and memory patchI started a new game with all mods to see if it works and it's working. Could this mean that there isn't a problem with mods? But when I load that save, it crashed after it loaded. The save file has 13 MB. I installed savegame script scalpel and I activated logging. There is an error at the end of the log file. I remeber something like critter.spawn. I will post the error soon.
