Gogrick
I'm working on a custom race mod but I've encountered a couple things I don't have the expertise to overcome. I've searched high and low (googled) for help but can't seem to find anything. Here's the deal. I'm working on a very small race, the race itself is done, that's pretty easy but I have two problems and one annoyance. Annoyance; It seems the CK caps the smallest character at .50. I can change it in-game to something smaller but does anyone know if that low end cap is changeable? I can live with that scale but a tad smaller right out of the character generation screen would be great. Problems:1. Small races run really, really slow, so a mount is definitely needed. I had my heart set on a rabbit mount but I simply can not find any tutorials for custom mount creation (well I found one for Oblivion but apparently much has changed). Chickens and Foxes (and Skeever for the evil types) would be cool too. - Need Instruction or Tutorial 2. Third person camera - first person camera seems to adjust just fine to the smaller scale but third person is a problem. Is there a way to adjust this to a lower point of view? I would still like to be able to center on the character, as it is you can only see your character from a distance which kind of defeats the purpose of cool new armors, etc. - Need instruction or Tutorial I appreciate any help you pros can give me. I'm amazed at the kind of things being put out by this community. Thanks!

Gogrick
Can't help but,...Nordic Leprechauns,...cool !!! Thanks! I'm thinking "Brownies" but you get the idea. It's really pretty amazing how much more immersive the world is when it suddenly becomes twice as large. :)
worldofscotty
It's a great idea but your gonna have a world of problems with it. I have a mod up with a character that is .87 and there are problems when it comes to looking on shelves etc. Another issue that you might not realise but you actually get resized when you craft/sleep etc. Sometimes there's a bug where you don't actually return to your original size you specified and have to use the console to re-scale yourself. Yea, I have noted a tendancy here and there for the camera in first person to 'adjust' to what it thinks is correct. With the race at .50 in the CK, when it happens I just player.setscale 1.0 and it brings the first person camera down to the proper height. I have to say taking out my first dragon as a 2 and half feet tall Brownie with Deadly Dragons installed was exciting.
