Khent
After trying for days, and reading every forum I could find on the matter, I am at my wit's end. Okay. So I installed CBBE for SSE. It works just fine. Although, even though I selected "curvy," it seems to be stuck on "skinny." Then I installed bodyslide. I made my adjustments, making sure to hold ctrl when I click on batch build to place my nif files in the character asset meshes. They are successfully replaced. I load the game, and my body is still "skinny." I have a companion, so I thought maybe she was the problem. I replaced her meshes too. No change. I literally went through every folder that had character meshes for actors and replaced them with my new nif files. No change. I'm using XP32 Skeleton. I've tried uninstalling the game and using nothing but those three mods. I tried starting a new character. It seems to me like my game is possessed, as it does not care what I do to the mesh files-- it stays the same. I am not using a custom race. Even with just the three necessary mods, nothing changes. I assume the problem must be with bodyslider, as I literally went through and manually installed the new mesh. But I've looked up several tutorials and followed them perfectly. I'm going nuts over here. If there's something I'm missing, please bring it to my attention.
runicpaine
Make sure to save your slider presets so you can quickly load and make changes to custom settings. Also make sure you use batch build in body slide and then choose the cbbe body. If you don't batch build, then the settings you made only effect whatever base model you have loaded at the time you click build. Since clothing overrides default body, batch building is the only way to have those settings be persistent in all situations. You can also have different settings for each outfit if you care to take the time and want to be able to change your appearance on the fly in game based on what you're wearing. Other than that, the only thing I can think is to uninstall and reinstall the mods. I highly recommend using the Nexus Mod Manager to handle this for you also. It automates all the necessary file overwrites and such, just make sure you follow the install instructions on the mod page to make sure directories and everything are set properly.
