Random CTD (especially around Whiterun)

My game will randomly CTD. It happens most often around Whiterun, but occasionally elsewhere.

 

OS: Win 10 64-bit,

CPU: Intel i7 4.00GHz

GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 960

RAM: 8GB

 

I've installed the game to an external HDD; it is the latest version, Legendary Edition. I use Mod Organizer as well as the latest version of SKSE, LOOT, Tes5Edit, and SUM.
