ShogunASP
(i play on a mac) i downloaded a large number of mods (some of them worked) using modazipin. the ones that werent .dazip mods i tried to install by putting them in the bioware/ dragonage/ packages/ core/ override and they showed up on the list of mods in modazipin. however, when i click on the mods that aren't dazip in modazipin, the only details it gives me is "this is an item found in your packages folder" and it gives me the option to "assign to addin". i tried to see if they were working, but they dont "all the ones that only say "assign to addin". also, they dont show up on downloadable content in the actual dragon age origins title menu. P.S- i dont know too much about this sort of stuff, sry. :< Edited March 10, 2012 by ShogunASP
Thandal
@ShogunASP; See this article: Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies. While playing on a Mac introduces new complexities to using mods, it isn't that different. As you discovered, many, many (most) mods are not ".dazip" files, and don't get placed in the "\AddIns" folder or show-up as "Installed Content". They just work if they're in the "\override" folder. Some won't work at all on a Mac becaue they rely on some extra utilities, (for example, I have heard one can't get NV4 to function) but for the most part things behave the same. Let us know the specific mods involved and we might be able to provide more help. Happy (modded) Gaming!
