Importing FBX file to Object studio messed up UV map

hello there.

 

Long story short, i'm making a model for Fo4 and don't have 3dsmax and i don't want to get it. i KNOW i can make it work with importing the obj/fbx into the outfit studio and exporting it as a nif, then copying the model itself into a nif file that i'd like to use as a base and assign textures and all that in there.

 

But there's one problem.

Importing the Obj file destroys the model, it's just a cluster of verticies, importing FBX works, but it messes up the UVmap in some places.

I am 100% sure the uv map does not look like that because if i open the fbx file in blender it looks just like it did when i exported it, so outfit studio has to be the reason.

Is there any way to fix this problem without having to get a trial version of 3dsmax for this one mod?
