YSlayer
Would it be possible for somebody to create a mod to set a follower/NPC's morality lower? I feel like certain followers are very restricted when I'm traveling with them.
zeldan64140
you mean like whether or not they get upset if you steal or murder? I don't even think followers will do that, will they? but yeah, if that is the case I'm pretty sure it's possible. open up the CK and find an NPC (in the Actors section, or search by name under "all"), right-click edit, go to the AI Data tab and there's a "Morality" setting. it's kinda limited (to "no crime", "property crime", "violence against enemies", or "any crime") so if you want anything fancy it would require scripting. Kind of, yeah. I think I worded the topic wrong. I mean a type of mod where you can get a follower to do anything, regardless of who they are and what the circumstance is. Like commanding a follower to murder innocent people (which I think they refuse regardless of their morality).

gstanford
Yeah, but what do the CK choices mean? Does "No crime" mean a follower won't commit any crimes or that they won't report any crimes? Does "Any crime" mean they will report any crime or that they will commit any crime? Why isn't this sort of thing better documented?!
Perraine
Wiki Link The section on followers explains what the various morality settings do.Plus Housecarls are different from follower's which are different from hirelings, which are different from quest specific followers, normally ALL except Housecarls and quest followers WILL leave you if you go against their default morality setting. Had a funny situation, I found a wandering bunch of Thalmor and being a good True Nord, I started butchering them, I turned around and found Lydia fighting Annekke, and noticed the little display saying "A follower has left your service" The best part was that they both use basically the same voice files "I'll kill you if I have too" no "I'll kill you if I have too" "Now you'll pay" no "Now you'll pay" Edited April 21, 2012 by Perraine

Esbern had gotten his hands on a fire staff and had a flame atronoch summoned, and one of them accidently zapped Lydia one time too many and she went ballistic -- "How dare you attack me! I'll kill you, you old b@st@rd!" and a huge bun fight ensued. Fortunately I'd saved not long before that happened.
