Compatibility with non SKSE64 mods?

I have been reading the posts on SKSE64 and have noticed that many people have been running SKSE64 and SkyUI_5_2 SE with no problem at all. I also saw that Immersive Creatures, one of my favorite oldrim mods, has been ported to SSE using SKSE64. Considering these things I have decided to jump in and download and install SKSE64 and SkyUI.

 

My question is will the mods I have that used SKSE in oldrim but have been ported to SSE without a script extender be compatible with mods that I download which have been ported using SKSE64?

 

For instance Skyrim Immersive Creatures has an Higher Level Enemies file, but I have Higher Level Enemies installed already. If I had both installed and active would they conflict?

 

I guess the second paragraph is basically my question.

Yes. Try to stick with the skse64 stuff once you do hop over. I have pretty much every single large skse64 mod rn including immersive creations and HLE.
