stahlmantel
hi there, i know enbs from skyrim, and in that time i tried some...so i am familiar with this cool stuff. but here on fallout 4 it wont work :-/ , i have tested now 3 enbs: vogue, PRC and a third....with enb 0.316 or 0.317, but nothing happens. no initialisation info in the corner, no activation when pressing shif-enter or end, no visual changes i really dont know whats wrong. ive turned off steam overlay and vivid weathers mod (it did not work either) too... so, do you have any glue what could be wrong?!? file permissions or ..i dont know thank you in advance :-/ maybe ive overseen something
AGreatWeight
Not having the initialization messsage in the top left hand corner means that the ENB/preset isn't installed correctly.Firstly, download this modUnzip the .zip file and place the content [a .bat file] into your main Fallout4 directory - Steam/steamapps/common/fallout4Double click on this .bat file to remove any traces of previous ENB's that may be lurking.Download 0.317 of ENB, and unzip the contents to your desktop. Open this folder, then open the wrapperversion folder and copy ONLY the d3d11.dll and the d3dcompiler_46e.dll into your Fallout4 directory.Open the ENB preset you want to install [PRC, Vogue etc] and copy/paste the enblocal file + enbseries folder into your Fallout4 directory. Fairly standard, but I thought it best to go over it in case there's something that you've forgotten to do. You'd be wise to configure the enblocal file to your system specs. This video will explain the value you need to alter, as well as why it's a good idea. On the ENB site, Boris mentions a number of different software that he considers potential culprits for ENB not working, and recommends you stop them from running whilst playing FO4; stuff like anti-malware, anti-spyware, OBS, Steam overlay, gpu utilities, as well as 'EVGA, Afterburner, Avast antivirus, EMET, D3D Overrider, Razer and Logitek utils' If you have Steam installed in the default location [ProgramFiles] I'd suggest migrating it and your games collection outside of there, for example in the root of your C drive. Also, make sure that you've edited your .ini files appropriately so that mods can be loaded, and don't use the latest version of NMM [it tends to not install/uninstall mods correctly] but use this version instead https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases/tag/0.61.21 which is known to work. AGreatWeight
ik this is old but i did just as you said and it still did not workMake sure that when you copy/paste the enblocal.ini file & the enbseries folder, you place it in the same directory where your Fallout4.exe is(located in Steam/Steamapps/Common/Fallout4 )and not in your Data folder.Make sure you've downloaded and installed the latest enb binaries (from here) before you install the enb preset files (from whichever preset you've chosen to use from the many that are hosted here on Nexus)It's also worth noting that you have to manually install everything, or it won't work. Plenty of video tutorials going through the process:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pCl00x5DVs
