Messing with leveled lists and drop rates on mod weapons

(Reposting because I put it in the wrong subsection the first time - sorry about that. I promise I'm not trying to spam.)

 

I'm currently trying to merge some weapon leveled lists but having an issue with how to find the quests/etc. for the ones inserted with a script. Currently, there's a lot of high-powered weapons that the game just hands out at level 1 to various enemies, making for a very overpowered run. I want to patch it so the early game is far more melee-heavy, with significantly less chances for all ranged weapons (but especially the mod weapons, some of which are set to drop as low as level 1) throughout.

 

However, a majority of the weapons I've got in the file are added by way of patching, which I can't make heads or tails of (the WeaponLLinject.pex). If I go into each weapon and add them individually at the correct level/spawn rate, can I simply delete the WeaponLLinject.pex file and they won't redistribute after my patch distributes them? Or do I have to go in and find/modify quests in each weapon's files?
