Faction armor overhaul

I'd like to change equipment for stormcloaks for example make them use daedric armor

So can anyone tell me how to do this?

There was a mod Faction armor overhaul so there stormcloaks wore steel armor

Hi. The best thing to do is to edit the levelled lists that the factions use. This is how i did it in my mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11928

 

you should have a look at the stuff it changes. Most factions use a standard list of equipment (a levelled list), usually with a random factor in it

you could start with a random stormcloak, find out what base actor it uses. check that actor, find the base of it etc, follow it all the way up the chain until you find one that doesn't use anything else for a base, and uses a levelled list for it's outfit/inventory. then edit the list that's referenced.

Sometimes that chain is broken for inventory. find the one that no longer has the inventory checked and edit that leveled list. then follow the chain down again repeating each time the inventory is not checked. This way you dont have every stormcloak using the same leveled list such as some dont have helmets or guantlets for more variety.

 

But just changing the stormcloaks to use deadric armor will severely imbalance the game unless you give the Imperials the deadric weapons and stormcloaks the default weak ones to balance it out.

But I have already tried to change outfits and armorsets in leveled items but they appear nude always and when I open the armor set next time all the armor I add just disappear!

I am using a mod armor by the way

Did you make it a default outfit and not just place it in the inventory? If its in the inventory they will not put the gear on. you need to make a default outfit for them.

Also is your mod set as active?

Also your save game is what loads what they are wearing. pick a stormcloak and use the console command resurrect on them.

By the way, how can I change outfits?

I open the outfits section then open one of the outfits the window of items included in this outfit appears but I cant add any things there.

Maybe its only my problem?

Drag and drop the item into it like you would placing it into the world. I dont know how to delete an item from there so be careful with what you add unless you learn how to tremove. that might be a keyboard "shortcut"(only cut) to delete an item.
