Hi Guys, (Forum Lurkers Too >.>)

Im making a new shop, got bored with the other ones. So i start off going through the CS Wiki (Taught me loads, although im so stupid) made a new shop near bravil.

But... yes theres a but

Ive added an NPC to the shop as a CuteElf usual setup all default see if it works >.> but everytime i go to the door to enter my game crashes and shows me my desktop covered in Oblivion Mods

It works fine with the default races, ive compared all the check boxes and stuff with each NPC there all the same, but the stupid CuteElf just boots me out.

Please help before I slap her with a Repair Hammer or something similar

I edited after reading a few posts and searching.

my oblivion ver. is 1.2.46 or summat patched uptodate and so is CS

Thankx in Advance =)

:wallbash:

For NPCs you can only use races which are part of a linked .esm. Since at last check there weren't any race mods which were .esm based, you cannot use anything other than the default races unless you recreate that race from scratch within your plugin (make it unplayable, and make comments telling others that they need to download that race mod for textures or whatever to work).

This is due to a whole "one .esp cannot use anything which is from another .esp" thing that you will get to know and love.

Essentially, race mods are only viable for the player race, and cannot be used for NPCs unless the mod which adds those NPCs also adds that race. Making a .esm of your favorite race mod won't work since people will also need the same .esm of that race mod to use your mod. There are other methods, but they end up being more complicated, and more prone to other issues.
