socksftw
Do you mean glass as in your pathetic earth glass or the kind of glass from Oblivion?
Vagrant0
Do you mean glass as in your pathetic earth glass or the kind of glass from Oblivion?Probably means the pathetic sort of earth glass. In which case, it doesn't end up working too well since the engine doesn't handle transparency and reflection right.
SpacemanSpIiff
Indeed, my FPS goes strait down the tubes whenever i come across something transparent. Like the bath house in better cities Chorrol. Theres a large peice of transparent cloth that makes my computer say "Alright, seriously."

In which case, it doesn't end up working too well since the engine doesn't handle transparency and reflection right Is that why Glass in Oblivion is ugly, green and Bethesda thinks its would be good for armor?Glass armor was always green. In Morrowind it was actually regarded as one of the cooler looking armors. Glass armor is the way it is because of some cyrstaline material which just happens to be called glass. It isn't the same sort of glass that is used in windows, and other things. I suspect the main reason why there aren't many "pathetic" glass items is also because the havok system doesn't allow for those things to be broken, like they would be in reality. In Oblivion you can throw a beer bottle around the city, off people and walls, and it doesn't break. You could drop it from a high place, and provided you can find it, you would see that it is still intact. You can even drop it into lava. Such things wouldn't make much sense in the case of there being more glass like objects, which would beg the question "why doesn't that cup break when it hits the floor". lolassassin101
yes, thank you, now i see where glass came from (even tho i have morrowind tribunal and bloodmoon) why "Glass" is green. I agree the morrowind glass is cool and nice, but why doesnt the Oblivion glass look like the cool "Glass" armor and weapons but with more 3d detail insetd of what looks like leather/methril with "Glass" stuck on? *EDIT* Thank you I suppose when interested in somone elses suggestion/request noone (and i hope noone does flame other people) would flame another person
