Quests not starting after mod download?

I'm very new to modding. I think I'm getting the hang of it, been fiddling around with TES Construction Set (Made myself a nice, working cabin to call my own) and now, I've just tried to download some popular, recommended mods from other players. The three I've downloaded first are TNR (The NPC redesign), Beautiful People, and Book Jackets, and I downloaded Oblivion Mod Manager to manage them. It appears that when I try to run the game with the version of Book Jackets that's compatible with Book Placement, well, the game does not run. This is not an issue when I run the incompatible one. This is no issue, I assume I need Book Placement for that one to run. Anyhow, this is not my problem.

 

 

TNR came in some file type that was immediatly recognized by OBMM. The other two, some guide told me to manually extract all the files into my Oblivion data folder, which I also did. At first, I assumed the mods to be running properly. I even came across this Mystic Elf race, which I made, with a blindfold, blind eyes, and Ren's hair type. She looks awesome. So naturally, I can't wait to start.

 

But apparently I had to. The stupid prisoner opposite me feels like ignoring me. I felt he was annoying at first, but the quest doesn't seem to trigger, and Uriel Septim doesn't come down to even try to escape with his Blades. Yeah, he's a good man who doesn't deserve to die, but come on. Destiny needs to be set in motion, the Nine need to guide his death and what not so I can escape and be an assassin. I'm the stupid protagonist, here.

 

 

So where did I go wrong? Did I overwrite something important? I'm at a loss here, and this prison cell is beginning to smell.

My apologies, I have found the solution I was looking for, I needed only look a little harder.

 

I downloaded a patch called the KT Custom Race Fix, found right here at TES Nexus. I figured I would reply, in case any who have a simmilar problem come in need of assistance. The link is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1815 and is found on this very site, I believe.

 

Now to play as my new, hot, kickass Mystic Elf.
