Trolling for Asian Followers

Since I'm into the whole Samurai mystique, much of which isn't the real deal, I frequently find myself trolling through the mods looking for women that are East Asian in appearance. Unfortunately, that isn't very easy since few are labeled as Japanese, Chinese, or whomever. Generally, I troll through looking first at names, and then faces. At one time, back in the early days of Hearthfire, I had put together a significant number of women who looked Japanese and had names compatible with same. That was all good until the Anime look became more prevalent, and mods became more readily available that enabled more realistic skin texture, bouncy flesh, scars, etc. Then I realized that most of the female Asian mods available at the time didn't bounce, had perfect skin, and so on. Through a lot of trial and error I've managed to isolate a very few Asian style mods that have bounce, realistic skin, scars, and genuinely Japanese faces/bodies. There are also some new mods available that show a great deal of promise. I've bookmarked them and will download and run trial and error in the near future. My guess is they won't bounce and will be just that little bit too perfect.

 

Elves will sometimes work as substitute Samurai, but on the whole the pointy ears kinda throw that off. I guess I'm waay too much of a historical purist. 'Course, if I was a true purist, I'd not be running women as Samurai followers, although there is the example of Tomoe Gozen, as well as the likelihood of a few others that I'm not aware of. Genuine Samurai males often had a rather unique view of women and I'll leave that topic alone now.
