cazaam
Hey guys. THink, a high level orc has been buffing up and training using a heavy warhammer and mace for weeks now. Shouldn't he/she be able to soon weild this larger warhammer in 1 hand as he/she does with the mace? Is this:1.) Possible2.) realistic to the point of it being done3.) Well just those two. Drop some feedback and Vagrant0, I'm willing to bet you'll have your say soon enough :).

Although it makes every 2h weapon act as if 1 handed no matter how low your STR is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14181 Hope that helps
cazaam
Cheers mate but it's not what im looking for. Is it even possible to change the animation and Weilding option (ie 1h, bow, staff etc) once a certain STR has been reached?
Vagrant0
Cheers mate but it's not what im looking for. Is it even possible to change the animation and Weilding option (ie 1h, bow, staff etc) once a certain STR has been reached?Only if you use some sort of scripting to switch out one weapon for another. Which will only work with pre-defined examples. The animations and equipping position are controlled in two places, at the defined item in the CS, and within the .nif. Even OBSE can't help you there. cazaam
So what, it isn't possible? or just extremely hard?
Vagrant0
So what, it isn't possible? or just extremely hard?Hard, and kinda pointless since it would only work with specific weapons which were scripted to work like that. Essentially, when someone equips a specific 2 hand weapon, a script will check how much strength they have, and based on that, make them unequip the 2 hand weapon, will remove the 2 hand weapon from inventory, replace it with a version which is setup as 1 handed, and then force equip that version. Then another script on the 1 handed version needs to reverse the process if the player doesn't have enough strength... The downside is that each weapon you want to do this with would need seperate scripting. An iron claymore would need 2 scripts, an iron warhammer would need 2 scripts, and so on. And it would only work for those weapons that you could attach a script to. So modded weapons would require you to edit the mod that adds those weapons to have that scripting (as well as defining the 1 hand versions in the CS from the changed .nif). So essentially, not practical to even try on a large scale. And many 2 hand weapons don't look right when worn/wielded as a 1 hander.
cazaam
Fair enough i just thought it weird how my orc who apparently lugs a big steel warhammer, easily holds it in one hand when he jumps, and doesn't drop it.
