Allies for Bruma broken at Skingrad

I'm having a prombem with the "Allies for Bruma" quest. I've just closed the Oblivion Gate at Skingrad and my quest log is telling me to go talk to the Count so he will release his aid. I'm not getting a quest marker on my map. Also, his Argonian servant says "Wait in the hall, the Count will be with you shortly." After this she doesn't leave to get the Count, she just yaks with everyone in the hall and the Count never appears. Help!

Thank You.

Save your game, try waiting "the one where time passes without you seeing anything" in the hall, sometimes NPC packages don't happen right. You might also want to just go looking for him, or speaking to his orc butler.

Thanks for the suggestions. Tried all that with no luck. For some reason the Count has gone AWOL. I've searched all over the castle but he is nowhere to be found. Perhaps that's why I'm not getting a quest arrow on my compass/map. He was alive and kicking the last I saw him. I'm hoping this doesn't stall out the main quest line for me. :wallbash:

Nah, you don't actually need to do any of those ally quests, all it does is give you more help (not much if you have mods which affect creature strength) at the battle of Bruma. You might actually be better off with less help since the AI tends to lose intelligence if there are too many NPCs in battle.

Yeah, moving on. My theory is the script with his Majordomo got broken or the Count himself has dissapeared. Hated to do it but used the console command setstage MQ11 23. Worked like a champ and I'm on to Anvil. Thanks again to all who helped.
