WHITELION1284
Just speaking for myself I do not understand the need to impose arbitrary changes to the way the player character behaves. Walking into a dungeon and suddenly finding myself required to "sprint" to run and unable to sprint at all adds no benefit to the game to me. I find the transition awkward and the restriction unnecessary. So... can anyone help me get rid of it? Thanks

Walking into a dungeon and suddenly finding myself required to "sprint" to run and unable to sprint at all adds no benefit to the game to me Try this out! Immersive Motion -Stand -alone by KCShttps://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1933/? IMMERSIVE MOTION for GAMEPADS - RE-ENVISIONED( And also Immersive Motion for Keyboards ) Immersive Motion for Gampads - Reenvisioned is the evolution of Immersive Motion for Gamepads. Here's what the mod does... 1. Dampens Geralt's transitional animations (the animations when Geralt starts moving). The over-fast, jerky transitional animations are one of the major reasons the vanilla gamepad controls feel so floaty and imprecise. Once you try the mod, you'll feel the difference immediately. 2.Gives you full walking movement speed control. The stick ranges are weighted to feel natural, allowing you to easily transition from a slow walk, to normal speeds, to full on power walk, without having to think about it. You shouldn't have to concentrate on basic movement controls. But what about jog speed you ask? This mod grants variable run speeds too. Press and hold A to run - Double tap and hold A to sprint (similar to Red Dead Redemption and GTA). 3. Eliminates forced stops when running. Although full sprinting still reduces stamina, you are no longer required to stop running when your stamina runs out. Stamina replenishes in less than a second, so why be made to stop at all? Stamina does not diminish while jogging. 4. Allows you to move Geralt at the same movement rate indoors and out (although sprinting is still restricted in most buildings). Didn't you think it was strange how Geralt would speed up as soon as he walked outside and slow down as soon as he walked inside? No more. I haven't tried it but i'm about to! Make sure you're not encumbered.always backup your files before downloading mods, I myself backups Bin, DLC, Mods, .Settings and .ini filesalways use script merger. Goodluck! WHITELION1284
No. That's the opposite of what I'm looking for. I don't want to have to press a button to run indoors. With that mod I have to press a button to run EVERYWHERE. What I'm looking for, and what frustrates me across the board with TW3, is consistency of control. Enter combat and I suddenly can't open doors, even if all I have to do is push them normally. I can't climb or even get past low fences. All of this makes changing location in order to find a choke point or control the battlefield nearly impossible. On the other hand exit combat and I can't dodge, roll, or parry... even when an archer is shooting at me. Not being able to run without pressing a button is just another example of the game arbitrarily changing the rules on me... and > I < find it frustrating. Apparently no one else does, which, frankly, I find bizarre. Edited November 5, 2017 by WHITELION1284
willief23
combat jump mod lets you jump while in combat. im working on an animation mod to speed up walking speed so it will be kinda like a half run speed. So you wont have to press any buttons.
WHITELION1284
Nod nod. Thanks for the heads up. I looked at combat jump. The only reason I don't have it installed already is that I seem to be pushing the limit. Whenever I install too many mods my game stops loading. :)
willief23
You need Script merger for merging script files (ws files) and xml files. Then Mod Merger for merging texture mods. Some texture mods cant be merged though like compilation or most of ramccoids mods, HD reworked project by halk.
WHITELION1284
Thanks willief23, I actually use script merger but the problem persists. It seems to be related to having too many installed mods. I get infinite loading screens. The loading bar gets maybe a tenth of the way full and then freezes. willief23
well script mods dont count toward your limit so its your texture mods that counts toward the limit. Also dlc mods count toward the total limit. I think its around 12-14 texture mod folders. What texture mods do you have installed? I can tell you what will merge and what wont merge correctly. WHITELION1284
Oh, is that right? Texture mods are the issue. That's good to know. Well, I'm using Witcher HD reworked plus several armor retextures, which I suspect are the culprits. I guess what I'll do is just use one armor mod at a time. You know, for the one I'm wearing. Edited November 6, 2017 by WHITELION1284
