Unable to Collect Salmon Roe from Salmon

I have tried everything, shouting them to death and they float, but it only gives me salmon meat. Tried Animal Allegiance same result. Tried using a bow, magic same result.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think you only get Roe from fish you catch mid-air. They appear in cataracts.
