I've never been able to have him as a companion because I never play neutral. I've found lots of mods that change RL-3 to other types of robots or creatures but none that just remove all karma requirements. If you could also make tinker joe essential and give RL-3 a stealth field for when the player goes stealthy that would be amazing but I would be very happy with just karma removed.
