AngryWildMango
Nope, noble skyrim mod wasn't it. it crashed in dawnstar again. I'm going to remove COT and see if that's it.
Grospolina
Oh, you can also try EnableCompression=true in enblocal.ini. It helps save some RAM, but could also introduce stuttering. Try it out and see.
AngryWildMango
Yeah I did that when you said it. I didn't notice any difference. I am getting the performance monitor set up. Ill post findings.
AngryWildMango
It crashed while the performance monitor was running. Im going to keep playing to see if a pattern shows up. Crash message (same as before) Monitor screenshot Second crash Monitor screenshot This Monitor screenshot is from a game that didn't crash (most of the time was spent inside) Edited November 16, 2017 by AngryWildMango
Grospolina
Oh, I didn't realize that I already suggested that. It looks like you really are maxing out on RAM (not VRAM). Since Skyrim is a 32-bit program, it can only access 3.1 GB of RAM. ENBoost is supposed to help you break that limit. Your first two graphs (yellow line) show that it's going above 3000 MB and that's when it crashes. On your graph where it doesn't crash, it's staying just under 3000. I just tried mine and it went over 3400 MB. It didn't crash, but I got some corrupted textures - I guess I have something to fix too! So is your ENBoost working? When you start the game, there should be a bunch of text in the top left corner that starts with "ENBSeries 0.319 for TES Skyrim". If ENBoost mode is on, it should then say "Patch Speedhack turned on in enblocal.ini, graphic modification disabled!" in red letters.
AngryWildMango
That is what I was thinking looking at the graphs. Plus it makes the most sense. Also no it must not be working properly. I will follow a tutorial to do it properly.
AngryWildMango
I set it all up. a message pops up that says to set ExpandSystemMemoryX64 to false or I will experience more crashes. The game crashed as it was loading the save from the main menu. Grospolina
Yes, it should be false. That's what you had it set to earlier.
AngryWildMango
It seems to be a lot better. After playing for awhile last night. Nothing on the bottom chart went above 1000. Ill report back if it stays like that or crashes again. Does the graphic modification disabled make the COT color changes not work? I feel like it is, but I may be wrong. also if I want to get an enb will enboost still work Edited November 16, 2017 by AngryWildMango
Grospolina
Sounds good! ENBoost shouldn't be affecting Climates of Tamriel. Maybe you're just getting different weathers? If you get an ENB preset, then the memory fixes from ENBoost will still work. Just be sure to keep your enblocal.ini (and keep an extra copy as a backup), since it's configured for your machine. You'll just have to switch UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics to false. There could be a [PROXY] settings to copy over, but usually that's optional anyway. It's used for enabling another injector like SMAA or SweetFX. If you use an old ENB preset that requires an older version of ENBseries, then you may need to use their enblocal.ini and compare it to yours and copy over some settings.
