Ebecad
I was wondering how to get a house built. I asked my friend and he was very vague. All I could make out was that it costs 5000 septims and it is related to a quest that you do for the person that bulids you the house. So, if you could tell me if you can even build a house. And, if so, who/where do you go to to get one built. P.S: I have Xbox
DragonReborn
(I have not yet done this so the explanation may be lacking specifics)Firstly, I believe you can only get a house built for you if you are in a Great House. After you get to a certain rank in any Great House, a certain quest giver will give you the option to build a stronghold. You simply accept it and follow the directions that the quest giver gives you. The stronghold is built in 3 stages and after the completion of each stage a higher rank must be attained and more quests must be done in order to advance your stronghold. Also, no matter which great house you are in you can still get a stronghold, but the differences between Strongholds is design and location. I believe there is a glitch where if you join Hlaalu first then you can also join another Great House which enables you to get two Strongholds. When UESP is back up you can check there for more specifics and even screenshots of each stronghold. Hope that helps.
wesaynothin
correct DragonReborn. For Hlaalu: Balmora Guildhall. Telvanni: Sadrith Mora Guildhall: Lowest floor (the hermitage) Redoran: Galsu Gindu (I think...) chambers in the Redoran Council Hall
Malchik
If you have the Bloodmoon expansion you can have a large house built at the end of the East Empire Company quests, conveniently near to a shop where the trader has a budget of 10000 Septims. Malchik
Might I request that people actually read the title and prior posts before adding their 2 cents worth. The request was about Xbox and as I understand it you cannot download mods to xbox, kadude. Silvaru, mouths are found in house Telvanni not Hlaalu, and this has already been mentioned in an earlier post. Hmmmm!
Amphex
In House Hlaalu you need to get to the fourth rank, talk to the dumner in the back right corner of the Hlaalu council hall in Balmora. He`ll bring up the subject of having a stronghold built. He`ll ask you to go to the Hlaalu Vault in Vivec and buy a land deed, next head over to Ebonheart and talk to the duke to get a contract. Go back to the guy in Balmora and he`ll start construction, wait a few days game time and you`ll get a journal entry about the stronghold. After that you just do a few missions and wait a bit more until its done. You`ll need to be a Councelor to get to phase three in construction. phew... Malchik
I believe there is a glitch where if you join Hlaalu first then you can also join another Great House which enables you to get two Strongholds. I missed this before. The glitch works the other way round. If you join Redoran or Telvanni first you can later join Hlaalu after you have become Hortator of House Hlaalu in the main quest.
