Are you making a new Armor Addon/Armor entry? I forgot what the nightingale hood looks like, but creation kit does have a glitch for me where in the render window. If you double click a npc, then it's head portion dissapears until that edit windows closes. Lol. It could be in the AA that there is a black texture that blocks the face. Or could be a glitch.
