Very weird problem in modding

Sooo I'm not even gonna talk about problems I had with launching the game...Took me a month to figure out a solution with Bethesda Support Team.

But now I have a really weird problem with mods.

I have 12 mods on.The only one working is CBBE.I installed them all with NMM(I tried manually too),changed what I needed in .ini files, all seems to be in the right place, but I just can't get any other to work.I have absolutely no idea what do to.

All of them are checked as working in NMM,they appear in 'Mods' section in-game,but there's not even a trace of them when actually playing.

which mods do you have installed?

what is your load order?

how do you know these mods don't work? it really depends on which types of mods these are , but are you sure they don't work?

are you certain that you've installed the mods properly , and have all the requirements for them? and are you sure they don't conflict?

Radiant Clouds, Ponytail hairstyles,Commonwealth Cuts,AWKCR,CBBE(only one that works),True Storms,Darker Nights,Unlimited Followers,Tinas Cookiepocolypse.

I use the order reccomended in Darker Nights.

For example,Darker Nights:It was 3 AM and night was vanilla. It should be pitch black.Cookie:15th enemy is supposed to drop a cookie to start a quest. No cookies whatsoever.Hairstyle mods:no hairstyles showing up in the barbershop.AWKCR:lacks the workshop it's supposed to provide.

I am sure, though one thing is kinda weird.I think there should be a list of plugins after ''sResourceDataDirsFinal='' in Fallout4Default.ini,but there's just ''sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\''.I don't know if that's normal or not.

They do not conflict,as even with all mods off and just one of them installed, they don't work.

how do you start the game?

from what I recall of these mods , they require the script extender

do you launch the game through the script extender executable , from NMM?

from what I recall of these mods , CBBE is the only one without a plugin (I think)

this means that you are probably launching the game through the normal executable , which doesn't load your plugins into the game

could this be the case?

This can be really tricky,as I had the biggest problem with even launching the game. When trying to run it,it would cause an error due to some Temporary Files I could not get rid of.I worked with Bethesdas technical support and even they couldn't figure it out.I found a solution in renaming Fallout main files,''Fallout4Launcher'' to ''Fallout4Launcher1'' and ''Fallout4'' to ''Fallout4Launcher''.That got rid of the launcher and just puts me straight in game. For that reason though,I can't load Fallout directly from Nexus as it doesn't know what .exe to load.

CBBE also has a plugin.

I read that in many cases The Script Extender WAS the problem,so I'm a bit scared to use it.

well , I have no idea in regards to your specific problem , but the solution you've found seems to cause your modding problems

I don't think you can load the game with mods without using a mod manager

maybe you can use retextures and such mods , that just overwrite the files of the game , without needing a plugin

but any mod with a plugin requires some tool to call it into the game

so you need to either solve the problem in a proper way (one that allows you to use a mod manager) , or play without mods

have you tried using Mod Organizer? I think it may have the same problem as NMM , but you could always try and see if this tool works for you

So I can now launch the game from NMM,as I set it to custom load.It now loads ''Fallout4Launcher.exe'',but still-no mods for me.It's super weird, because why is CBBE working? If it all would be wrong,it wouldn't work at all.

If you look at the info on the CBBE page https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15/?

you would see that the plugin it has is optional , and doesn't actually effect the textures and meshes

the reason these load properly is because the game just loads the files from your Data folder , which overwrites the data from the BSA archives

this is why CBBE works for you

again , it seems like you can't load plugins , but simple replacers work because they don't require plugins

so your problem is with loading plugins

are you absolutely sure you've set it all properly? unless this is directly related to the problem you've had with the game , maybe your game just isn't set up for modding properly?

have you followed any tutorial while setting your game up for modding?

All .ini files are changed under modding,I followed Goffer's youtube explanation and checked it after.

UPDATE:I tried one of the Bethesdas mods...And it worked! So now I don't know,maybe it's Nexus's problem?

I'm having a very similar problem with my mods thru NMM, except the only mod I can confirm is working is jetpack ring, other mods like CBBE, Full Dialogue Interface and Start Me Up aren't working. I've changed my .ini files and gone through my load order but the mods just aren't there so you aren't alone lol
