Console command to add weapons to inventory not working

So,i downloaded a mod that adds or enables the console, but that didn't work

because my keys were configured differently so i just changed some stuff in the .ini files

this works,

I can add gold, even made the weather clear...

all of this works but when i try to add swords to my inventory this doesn't work.

 

i just type like stated on most sites that cover the whole console command stuff.

so i type : additem(itemname)

and nothing happends, even tried using a quantity number after it, i tried with spaces between the brackets and the itemname.

 

i'm probably doing something wrong but i don't know what.

Names are writen with capitol letters....

Whether they have capital letters or not doesn't matter.

 

Have you tried player.additem xxxxxx 1?

yea it doesn't matter in skyrim or any bethesda game that's why i didn't think of it in the first place :D

I have the same problem. Also can't use Cat potion mode. Can add money and a level stop the rain too.

I am more interested in getting the add item to work so haven't tried much else.

Want to know this how happens and why.
