Vanna5556
So i was on the mission for the vampires side in the dawnguard DLC to find the moth priest. I was inside dragonbridge and got info from a guard about his location ect ect, anyways at that point i saved my game because i needed to leave but when i got back and loaded my save every animal started to jitter up and down for around 30 seconds before shooting into the sky before eventually falling down and dieing, i decided a restart would fix it, it didnt. I tried verifying the game cache and it came up with nothing, did some digging to find out it could be caused by mods that effect ragdoll mods (dont know how a ragdoll mod would effect a living animal but i had one), i disabled my ragdoll mod thinking it would all be fine and.. it didnt go as planned anyways heres my experience in a nice list with trying to fix this start of the "fun" - disabling the ragdoll modgame crashes when i try to load the savetry againsame thingverify cache incase removing the mod caused and issueone issue found, fixedgame crashes on save load againre download the mod deciding that its better to have the glitch and be able to load in, then not load in at all.game crashes on startupdisable mod againgame crashes on startupenable mod(repeat twice more in frustration)game starts up fine now? except all the loading screen fog effects are super pixelated looking and buggy.save loads fineglitch is still theirthink it might be fixable by going into a building and out again to cause it to load againglitch is still their and now my screen flashes brown some times and the water exiting sound effect playsrun to nexus for help. ----------- I have 107 active mods, i dont believe its a mod issue because prior to this i hadnt edited any mods and their were no issues. wfandrews
Did you try deleting your ini files in My Documents/My Games/Skyrim before verifying your game files? If you do that don't forget to launch your game from the Steam launcher afterwards to recreate those files. Do not know if that will help but worth a shot. Thank you sooo much! edit: after some playing the main issue didnt come back but the fog pixelated textures and wierdness kept happening, and it started happening with the water splashing effects aswell, not game breaking, just very visually annoying ruining immersion anyone got a fix for this aswell?Image links belowFog on loading screen (same effect happens on the fog in main menu) Same effect but with water (happens everywhere not just this spot) Edited November 6, 2017 by Vanna5556
Vanna5556
Ive decided im simply going to delete everything, all my mods, my saves, and clean reinstall skyrim because even more issues came up.
wfandrews
I would recommend one of the guides to "making Skyrim vanilla again". If you just use Delete Local Content it is not a clean reinstall as the game installs many files that are not deleted by that. All Delete Local Content does is just what it says, deletes your local content. If you google something like "make Skyrim vanilla guide" you should get a number of hits. I prefer Avrie's guide but that is a matter of personal preference, check out the hits you get and use the one you prefer.
