Astyr
Hi alltogether, I have realized, that my choice of major and minor skills was not at all good, when starting my character. However, you must know, I am a bit slow to realize that, so I am now lvl 10 and don't want to do the whole story again. Is there a possibility to change a saved game, so I can e.g. select "Alteration" as major skill instead of "Enchanting"? I tried to load a saved game as -esp file, but this crashes the TES. Any further comments? Are there tools available? Thanks for all help in advance, best regards,Astyr, Elven Shaman
Marxist ßastard
TESAME can be used to edit savegames, but you'll probably have to learn how to hexedit a CLAS entry if you want to do what you've described. There's an application made specifically for editing ESS files that can be found at Morrowind Summit, but it's somewhat limited by nature and therefore doesn't have a good chance of supporting that feature at all. If you want to take a risk, but also go through the easiest and only guaranteed path, run the "EnableClassMenu" in-game via the console. The command may reset your level, so be sure to write it down before using it. The command to set your level back (But keep your class change) is SetLevel "xx" (Where "xx" is your level) -- changes to your level will only take effect once you restart the game. If you're a puromasochist and want to add a "balancing" aspect, the command to edit your skills is SetXx -yy, where Xx is the skill name, without spaces, and yy is the number to subtract it by. Astyr
Hi, it took me a while to fix all the things, that got messed up through this EnableClassMenu command, but now everything is like I wanted it. Thanks!
