David Brasher
This thread is for discussing the next round of revisions and refinements to the leveled list overhaul mod Skyrim Scaling Stopper. Many people have reported that this mod is too hard. Many people have requested that there be some easy dungeons that have a lower static level than the default average of level 15-20. If I were to level some dungeons like this, I would need more information: (1) How hard is an easy dungeon? What level range would it be? (2) Where would the easy dungeons be located? (3) What kind of enemies inhabit an easy dungeon? (Bandits, warlocks, animals, Falmer, Dwemer animunculi?) (4) How does the gamer tell the difference between an easy dungeon and a normal dungeon without risking his or her life in battle first? The mod can be editing in this fashion, but we need a good plan before any work is done. I ought to reiterate that this overhaul is all about removal of level scaling, and no suggestions will be followed if they involve adding any sort of level scaling. The world is to be static. A level 1 character will encounter the same quality of enemies and loot in a particular location as a level 45 character. So how would you answer these questions and what would make the overhaul better? EDIT:Oops. Skyrim is spelled wrong in the header. I really wish that Nexus supported the editing and correction of post titles. Edited March 13, 2012 by David Brasher
