lquebecois
It is just me that think the karmah system is very odd in FNV? on the most evil character, when i taked control of the strip myself, killed everyone from the innocent of good spring to the most evil Fiend and finished the game with my karmah set at very good (because the last group i've killed, are those fiends...). And now i'm a sort of soldier for the NCR, bringing justice in everything (except those who are on cross at an legion camp, orders are orders) and i've finished the game with a super evil karmah for one reason: i've stolen some item in The NCR prison and in a legion camp i mean.... WTF?
Quetzlsacatanango
Yes it is flawed. I think it would be better if instead of tallying points, it would tally a percentage of your karma or something like that. That way stealing tons of items would affect your karma progressively less, the worse your karma is. ModelV
Thats not exactly the problem. The problem is the amount of karma gained for killing things like ghouls, fiends, and powder gangers vs the amount of karma lost through other means isnt even... There are fixes on the Nexus somewhere.

There are fixes on the Nexus somewhere. At least it's not as bad as Fallout 3 where straying from Neutral would send with the Regulators or Talon Mercs (or both if you went back and forth) after you. Karma matters for next to nothing anyway in New Vegas, I've only seen one speech check actually use it and it was at the end of the game when facing Lanius. madman132
The Karma in FONV could just be scrapped since there are several Factions the Player can ally himself with.If i go with the "good Guys", the NCR (they should've been portrayed as a State getting too large and too corrupted, but overall they do better than any Country in the real World) you shouldn't be penalized for "stealing" all the Stuff from a Legion Base after you killed everyone. Not only because the Legion is basically facist and evil but because you're in a War with them. "Stealing" isn't really a Factor then.
