Sound Designer/Composer/"audio guy" looking to collaborate

My name is Spencer, I'm an experienced music composer and sound designer. I have two websites, my professional portfolio, and my sound effects side project:

http://www.spencernunamaker.com

http://www.sfxfoundry.com

I have experience working with developers doing audio implementation on different mobile platforms such as iOS and DS, using various middleware engines like wwise, fmod, and unity. I bring a level of professional interactive music to projects.

I am looking to collaborate with experienced modders on a new Skyrim mod. I would be doing sound design, ambient music, I can find voice actors, and of course the interactive bits (example: go underwater, apply high pass filter so it SOUNDS like you are underwater)

Please let me know if anyone is interested, I have tons of experience and really want to put out a polished professional product.

I'm not at a point in any of my cooler mods where I would put custom music or sound effects as a priority... except...

(not rly a spoiler of course, just excessive text)

Think sounds of you getting your wallet/coin purse gets stolen(not that jingly really) or bumping into someone whom you may realize a little bit later, just stole your wallet.

To be honest, something like that could really make the project I've recently put on the front burner a lot cooler lol. It has to do with getting robbed in skyrim. Pickpockets you never see comming or going are a significant part of this. There are also encounters where one person distracts you on one side, whilst another is picking your pocket. You don't really get an opportunity to know/do anything about it till it's all over.

It's horrible I know, but it's sort of an immersion aid to go along with modders enthusiastic about banking, investment, and economy mods. Your gold is no longer necessarily safe on your person. A reasonable immersion/harder mode gameplay addition anyways so long as the player has somewhere alternative to keep and access their fluid assets.

The key is that in order to keep the player from being immediatly allerted/ruining the raidant feel of it, I have to make the removal of gold silent. Some sound that could seem inconspicuous while distracted, or play later in relation to having had your pockets picked would go far.

Sounds that hint at rifling through your belongings, better than the existing ones, would also help for if you... happen... to be surprised and overpowered by some thugs... it wasn't a fair fight, but life's not fair sometimes now is it? (I wouldn't steal stuff, just gold)

I can't think of an immediate application of sound for this part but... Further along are various radiant quests where people will try to in one way or another, part you and your money in something like scams. People could roleplay following along, or reject it... and with a low chance... have their assets seized by the guards for questionable contact with the scam artists. Life sucks sometimes no? Having your fortune invested in assets you can't immediately cash would help protect you ... from ... yourself. The only sound I can imagine for some such scenarios is the sort of sound that plays after someone has a lame joke played on them or is completely foiled in some comedic fashion. Hardly a useful sound for immersion...

Wow here's a sound use idea lol this part I just thought of while writing, I think I may fit it in with what I have shortly here. I had already thought a bit about an increased level of vigilance so you wouldn't get pilfered for some particular time (if you know you'll be walking through the shadowy streets of riften, or in the warrens of markarth). I just now, however, figured what if you had a trapped coinpurse or some such thing? lol or at least an inconspicuous way of being alerted if your valuables were in danger... There would be limits, so as not to counteract the mod, but there are quite a few sound opportunities. Even the state of vigilance could have it's own ... sound/song either standalone or over the background music.

Ah well, it's on you, if that interests you there you go. I actually may not try the trap thing unless there are some compelling sounds to alert the player. The built in stuff wouldn't fit well enough.

Summary of sounds that would surely have a home and be heard often in my mod:

- General pickpocketing sound. Sometimes it's appropriate for it to be obvious.

- Quiet, like smooth over your clothes sound to play while distracted... as you're getting robbed...

- Belongings being gone through in the search for gold.

Other things that would likely inspire their own mod elements:

- Coinpurse trap sounds from ... a trap you would be willing to wear on your hip..

- Hidden extra purse string sound designed to alert a player his gold is in danger.

- Sound for start and finish or music probably no more than thirty seconds long to highlight a hightened state of vigilance, in a focused attempt to thwart thievery against yourself.
