z3nb4st4rd Posted March 14, 2012 Share Posted March 14, 2012 I am running both Duel and Deadly Combat together and have been for a while now. The feel of combat is much improved over the original. I use both Nexus Mod Manager and BOSS, I am not sure of the load order or which one takes precedence, but they seem to be compatible with one another in so far as they don't crash the game. I just wanted to get some opinions, since eventually one of these is going to win out. I haven't tried Duke Patrick's because that would just be too much, I know he has a real history with Oblivion though. Any thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've got DC now, and I mean to try Duke's but I haven't yet (I'm slightly concerned I'd end up with problems updating either way). The TRO project is also adding one, and it looks very promising. Its been a while since you guys posted this, so maybe you've got some new insights, coz I have the same question. BTW, dont Duel Combat and Deadly Combat do more or less the same thing: - blocking costs stamina- damage is stamina dependant- stamina regens faster- weapons do more damage when they hit Or am I mistaken? Brinemobee Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 I used to use duel a lot, i loved that, but now i have found Skyre. skyrim redone. its combat, based off deadly combat i believe is utterly amazing, if you like it hard. im playing on master and im getting owned by bandit chiefs. but its far far far far far more then just a combat mod, but it has the best combat ive had so far. one of the great things is that you get weaker the less stamina you have, so your first attacks are always your strongest, i was once hit by a draugh swinging a battleaxe from behind me, and it actually sent me flying onto the floor. its also added a crazy annoying blink effect to the bow which you have to work hard to remove, meaning no1 can just 'be an archer' you have to put perks on it. heavy armour is heavy, stamina goes faster, races have been drastically upgraded. its basically the most amazing mod ive ever used. and at one point i had near 200, but not its just skyre and a few others and its pretty awesome! check it out.
