Simplicity...

So, I'm all sitting here playing Skyrim in my tent in the garage and after much deliberation I decide to invest time checking on the mods available for vanilla Skyrim.

As the day rolled I happened to meet the Nexus mod manager who informed me that she just wanted me to lie back and she would do all the work. As I am not a typical male, yet male all the same this notion was all I need to hear to surrender to her will. Unlike most of her ilk, she upheld her boast and loaded every mod to sate my curiosity. With everything loaded successfully, or so she claimed, it was time to play.

Tragedy befell me as I learned that Nexus had indeed lied to me. However with patience and counseling we worked it out, and now Wars in Skyrim works without a hitch.

By the stars of the mage what a difference mods make! Vanilla Skyrim is now eight layers thick with every flavor of the digital rainbow oozing over the sides of my mechanical cone. Where the faces were once blockish and reminiscent of the faces in my own biological dream-space, with mods like CBBE, Geonox, and others who have the knowledge to make their dreams a reality, transformed something beautiful into a beguiling monstrosity that has and shall continue to consume my life for the next few weeks and that's being modest.

...only one thing...among the many excellent mods I've loaded there is one that I have come to truly love and that is the Canekatana mod by a modder who goes by Krusty. Aside from the brightness of the weapon, it is immaculate, but good god man what I would give to have the blade in black which brings me to why I am here and why I've made the people who've actually read this drivel suffer to be asked, pleaded, and begged by an old fart who just wants the cherry on top of an already overflowing joy to either show me how to make the Canekatana black on my own or do so for me. In return I would not just be eternally grateful but I would be willing to put my own talents to work for any who have the empathy and compassion to help a newbie feed a simple yet pestering desire. I am a writer by profession and although I recognize the errors within my own post please do not let this dissuade any who might need help writing text for a story, dialogue, etc. That's the deal people, please help or help me, help you :) I would actually offer finance for such a task but as I am a starving artist I am also per typically unable to spend diminishing finance on such a desire.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE MODDERS, ALL OF YOU DESERVE A HUZZAH!

What is best in life?

That was a lot to say for what (i think) is a small request

get photoshop or gimp, get a .dds plugin, open up the texture for the sword you've downloaded, and adjust it til it looks more like what you want.

How's this...thanks...for the biggest headache of my life. I've spent the last 8 hours trying to figure out how to change the color of the freaking blade to no avail and all I keep getting is an error message that states that the file cannot be saved because it has multiple layers or something to that effect. Oh well I'm going to keep searching for instructions that will actually be helpful.
