Oruboris Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Ok, I'll admit it: though I've played TES games going waaay back, I've rarely used the console. I thought I remembered how it worked from prior games, maybe not so much. I've been trying to use 'removeallitems' on my follower. So I open the console, type the command, click on the follower and his number show up, so I hit the space bar once and that in, like this: `removeallitems 99867 hit enter, and the game completely freezes. I need to use task manager to close it. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong, but what? Oh, and I'm not sure what the actual number is, just made that up.
Bradster123456 Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 when you have an NPC selected like that you don't need to type that number into the console after the command; just click them so that the number shows up, then type in the command and press enter.[my guess is that what you did is duplicate your follower's items 99,867 times and transfer them to your inventory or something like that]
Oruboris Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 Ah-- sounds reasonable! For some reason I expected just clicking on the guy would take the place of hitting 'enter'. When I just got a number popup, I was confused. Thanks for the suggestion, will try that and report back. Edited to add: thanks again, Bradster-- you were right! That was a big help!
