aroberts123
I checked some of the other posts and didn't find a solution that worked for me so far. So, here goes... I have Skyrim (NOT enhanced but older version) installed and working great on a Macbook Air via wineskin wrapper with mods. I the macbook air it's installed on that has 8 gb of ram. The computer I use most of the time and take to work is the smaller air with 4gb of ram and the exact same setup. I literally copied the wrapper and all contents then linked the saves and plugins folders via dropbox. I can play on one computer then pickup my game on the other. The game works fine on the smaller computer except when I open ANY book. Notes open fine and everything else works fine. Anytime I open any book, it immediately freezes. The book doesn't even open, just the start of opening it freezes. I tried starting a new game and it still did the same thing. It wouldn't matter but the computer I can usually use and have with me and get to use for Skyrim is the smaller one. If anyone has had a similar experience and can give me some suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Not a huge thing since it still works on the other system...but really weird and makes little sense when everything else works good. Thanks. CuptainCapcake
I have this issue too. No books can be read without freezing the game, but notes are fine. Do you also have the issue that trying to open the map causes the game to freeze and the issue that trying to exit to Desktop causes the game to freeze? So far I haven't found much to help, but I'd be curious to hear if you ever found a fix, and if so, what it was.
