New 3d models resources

I just found on a site some brand new 3d weapons and armors models. They are not made for Oblivion though and they come in different file types. If anyone is interested in them I will upload them soon (got some more to download) and you will be free to add them to the game. Mostly they are high-poly models. Only thing that I request is that the modders PM me or leave a comment in which mode they are gonna use it and if possible reupload them in nif format for Oblivion. Some of them have textures some not but if someone might convert them to nif I could try to make some textures.

Cool models I have by now:

Cloud's Sword

Cloud's Sword High-poly

Maximus Helmet (from movie gladiator)

Hadhafang

Horned Viking Helmet

and many others.

First, you should probably look long and hard at those terms of use that site has, most of them are against this sort of thing. Often, saying they're high poly is usually an understatement when it comes to those model resources sites. I remember running into several which were above 30k polygons, which is far above what is acceptable even for large statics or entire people. They are also rarely mapped in a way that can be used by Oblivion, and often make exclusive use of special materials which are part of whatever format they were made in, rather than your standard texturing.

I checked into that already...most of the files are special made for games (author's description), some of them don't want anything (like credits) and some of them ask for credits or to rate their files. That's it. :) But about that mapping...I am a total 0 when it comes to modelling, so I don't know which one fits in Oblivion and which doesn't...that's why I give them as a ressource (btw I saw on Nexus a resource package that contains some of the swords I downloaded) but anyway I will package them grouped on file types...so it's easier for modders to get them...and I think there are plenty models...some of them MUST fit in Oblivion or I will

I have something to add :D. I learned to add them to Oblivion (thanks to LHammond's tutorials and some tutorials from CS Wiki....after reading them for many hours). So I guess I won't upload them anymore...just as mods.

I would apreciate it if a moderator could erase this topic :).

Cheers
