Adipose
What would be entailed in a complete, realistic rework of Skyrim? One development that comes to mind would be orphans begging in the streets, complete with ragged clothing and truly emaciated bodies. Also frozen bodies of same found slumped in doorways in the morning. There's a war on and I suspect that the orphan factories would be running at full blast. Also, more than a few widows selling themselves on the streets because their man was killed, their steading burned out, or... . It's freezing, lot's of hungry predators roaming the roads. Perhaps more than a few dead bodies that have become critter kibble. Lions, bears and wolves actually pigging out on the bodies...complete with visual and aural effects. Bands of mercenaries roaming the countryside 'cause they're out of work. Small steadings and towns being overrun and looted. Places burned out 'cause mercs were kinda prone to that kind of thing back in the wonderful, romantic era of the "Middle Ages". Lot's of bandits...which we've no shortage of in the current game. Just a lot more vicious and territorial. Hard to tell the difference between a bandit, deserter and merc outta work. Lots of hanged and crucified bodies of same hanging on the approaches to major cities and fortifications. Lot's and lot's of carrion birds. Maybe even clouds of them working the battlefields after the fighting has moved on. Oh, don't forget looters working the same battlefields. The dispossessed would be out in droves looking to recoup some of their losses...and picking up something to eat. Survival for the lowly would be pretty ugly in TES. I realize a lot of the aforesaid is already in Skyrim, it's just that it needs visual, aural and psychological oomph! Lol, needless to say a heavy programming rework as well...and a very capable comp to enable depth to gameplay. Whole new approach probably. Heavy Gothic maybe...without the romance. Well, not a lot of romance. Brutal sex probably, but very little romance. What passes for nice in TES wouldn't be politically correct at all these days. At least less so in the West. Africa and Asia? Depends a lot where you live. Lol! The Gods of Programming might not be up for a really mature TES. Be hard to sell it to the kiddies. 'Rents might have a lot of trouble with acceptance. Maybe something like Witcher, Inquisition and TES all combined and given a big shot of programming adrenalin. My daughter touts the Assassin series. Throw in some of that as well.
