Your post is not very informative. What do you want? The Oblivion data directory? That is where mods go.

If so, C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data

but wouls you be able to give me an EXACT location. Cause i keep going to data, but what do you do with them? Stick em in data with the zipped folder... or do you extract it... or do you stick it next to data.... a walkthrough would be nice........

If you unzip the file, you should have folders named meshes, textures, etc. You can drag these directly to the Data folder in the Oblivion directory, and say yes to merge the folders. Make sure you activate the esp in the Oblivion startup menu. That should pretty much take care of it. There are a number of tutorials available, but most mods come with the basics listed in the readme, always, always read the files readme.

I have a set of help files specifically for beginners. Soon they will be available on a new forum. Until then, I will gladly send them to you via PM. The complete set is too long to post here.

First, The mods ONLY work on a computer, NOT on any game console.

Here is a partial list of my help files. Let me know where you need to start.

1. I see all these cool looking Mod files, how do I get them on my computer?

2. I am a total newb and don't know what all these abbreviations like .RAR, WinRar, 7zip and winzip are.

3. I don't know what the Oblivion files - .esp, .esm. .bsa are and where to find them.

4. OK, Now that I have the Mod file on my computer, how do I get it into my game?

5. I found this really cool mod, but it has a bunch of other files besides the esp. what do I do with them?

6. I see references to stuff like OBSE and OBMM What are they? Do I need them for my mods?
