'Hot Files' page

This is based on the Skyrim page though I have had similar experiences with New Vegas the last time I played it.

 

What happens when I click the Hot Files link is not what I expect.

 

Expectation:

See a list of the top 25 (or however many) with the 5 hot files from the main page at the top as 1-5 based on the same criteria that determines what goes on the front page. If you click Latest Files this is how that page operates.

 

What happens:

Normal top files page with filters to show added within the last x days. Except it doesn't actually filter by add date, it seems it is only by endorsements over the time period rather. As a result, the page is largely populated by the same mods even at 7, 14, and 21 days.

 

I think if the page followed my expectation it would increase exposure to many good mods that just don't quite have enough popularity to hit the front page.
