el2mador
Background:My Graygarden settlement, for some reason, has 18 robots. Three of those are the named ones (White, Brown, Green), and the rest are generic Mr. Handys. In the vanilla game, Graygarden will have 6 robots (3 named, 3 generic). I checked out the robots in my game and saw that the vanilla ones had id's starting with "000fd".Meanwhile, the other Mr. Handys (which I assume randomly spawned) - all had id's starting with "ff022".Here's the problem:I did "PRID > disable > save > load" - to get rid of the duplicate robots (not the vanilla ones).I even fast travelled to make sureI come back to Graygarden - *VOILA!* - the game spawned NEW robots (new id's as well) The same problem also persists if I "PRID > kill". The robots would die, and I can loot them.I save/restart/reload, even fast travel... and again, brand new robots are in Graygarden, with new id's.My settler population isn't even going down. Something keeps repopulating Graygarden with duplicate robots. ----------------- The only mod I have that can affect settlers specifically is BETTER SETTLERS - but that does not seem to add Mr. Handys directly in Graygarden. My other mods that affect settlements are simply that - for settlements use - Homemaker, Build Anywhere, etc. I also have Sim Settlements but I have NOT used this mod for any location yet, and I don't think it adds Graygarden robots automatically.I also have not started the Automatron main quest, and did not use any feature to make my own robots.I have companion mods that require Automatron like Wintermute and Ada2Human but they don't add Mr. Handys in Graygarden either.----------------------So here are some questions I hope you guys can help me out with:(1) Where the hell did these extra robots come from?(2) How do I get rid of these 'duplicates' permanently without spawning new ones?(3) Is there a way to get the base ID of an added/custom npc?I cannot kill them due to the [PP] (protected tag) but I need their base ID to make them non-essential. I searched for "Mr Handy" and found many results - I'm NOT sure if these results refer to the duplicates in Graygarden or if they are NPCs.(4) Are there mods which will allow me to control the behavior of Greygarden robots?I was looking at a video made by Oxhorn - https://youtu.be/sOOXIecDp6g?t=63In it, he removed the food plants in Greygarden and replaced them with flowers and shrubs - it looked like the robots were landscaping the area instead (which was cool).Unfortunately, when I did the same thing - the robots just stopped doing anything and sat idly.I'm looking to get them assigned back to crops or something else. Thanks!--------------------Additional Info:Prior to disabling these robots, I checked multiple id's within the range (ie. ff022020 to ff02205f). I found 12 duplicate Mr. Handys. Interestingly enough, I found some radstags as part of that range (so the game spawned these things within that timeframe). My human settlers are also starting with "ff02" as an ID so there's that. When I disabled then reloaded/fast-travelled, the game spawned NEW duplicates, with brand new ID's as well - all in Graygarden. So yeah - something is "giving birth" to these new duplicate robots for some reason. SharraShimada
FF022? That would mean, you exceeded the max-limit for mods of 255. Maybe thats the issue, and something goes haywire?Would you provide a load-order list?
