el2mador
This is affecting Curie. While building a settlement, Curie suddenly had an odd "water cascade/splash" effect around her. She would then go invisible. I was able to find her and remove her items and noticed that if I equip additional armor pieces (Sirius Armor, Easygirl, etc) - she would go transparent then invisible; it would also look like there's some weird "lightning storm" surrounding the area around her. If I let her equip only bodysuit/outfit pieces (Jumpsuits, Harnesses, Pampas, TheKite outfits, plain nude, etc) - she would be visible, but the "water cascade/splash" effect would surround her.Note: The armor pieces do NOT have any stealth/invisible effects. I've also equipped them on my character and other npcs and there are no problems. -------------- I found out the reason for this and it was the Build Your Own Pool mod (BYOP) - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13316/?. When an npc uses the pool or shower, the mod replaces the entire model with a nude body. Once the npc moves away, the clothes come back on. Unfortunately, it seems Curie might've gotten stuck in that action. I deactivated BYOP temporarily and disabled/enabled her, and it worked. But - BYOP is something that really adds to the game, so not having it permanently is not an option. ----------- I do have a couple of questions: (1) Is there a way to properly make prid > disable > enable work, without deactivating the mod? Yes I can deactivate it, fix Curie, save, reactivate it, and build again - but I'm worried that the same issue might occur with another npc and I'd have to start from scratch once more. (2) The command "recycleactor" also works (even without deactivating the mod) - but is this safe to use in the long run? Will this spawn a Curie clone further on? Will it break her script? (3) Are there other methods to somehow "reset" her action or counteract the script she had when using BYOP? My guess is that Curie might have been using the shower or pool, was in the middle of the BYOP script, and she moved around - that's why she's stuck in a loop since the game thinks she's still trying to remove her armors. (4) Anyone else had a similar issue? NOTE:The mod Amazing Follower Tweaks by Dheuster also works temporarily. It has a "New Body" feature for Curie wherein you can give her a new template (or the original one). It gets rid of the cascading water effect, and I can equip armors on her again. Unfortunately, yep, when I teleport to a settlement with a BYOP pool, the cascade/splash effect is back on her / she becomes invisible once more.
