Im suprised that people picked Bretons. I always pick the Nord, however high elves were somewhat facinating in Morrowind.

I suppose they picked Bretons, because their accents are unique in BOTH games.

I gotta admit, Oblivion was REALLY lacking the voice variations it desperately needed...

Bosmer on both accounts :) Cheeky, cannibalistic tree-huggers, a combination I can't resist. Plus I loved their creepy dark eyes in Morrowind.

Dunmer also had a charm in Morrowind, which they lost by Oblivion :/ I adored the voices they had in Morrowind

I have always played a Breton, because they are more or less the Celts of Tamriel. I'm very close to my Celtic heritage, both in song and lore, so it made sense to me to role play a Breton. They are also the most sensual and passionate of all the races, which is very important to me.

My favorite race for both Morrowind and Oblivion is the Argonian. Don't ask me why but any of my friends (or the people i know rather well, which for you may call them my friends) they would tell you that i had liked the benefits of that weird race form the start. My first character was a Argonian and I haven't changed my initial feeling toward them. I'm not a lizard lover, nor am I a pirate, but i do find ways of making water-breathing, and poison immunity very handy.

Breton/Dunmer named Nerevar for Morrowind

Argonian named Setab Trawets for Oblivion

I only picked up the idea for Setab Trawets once i got to oblivion, otherwise my morrowind character would have been named that. For anyone who still hasn't worked out the extremely simple code for making that name, spell it backwards

Well, very different views for each race I chose.

For Morrowind, I chose the Wood Elf. (Bosmer)

- I remember when I walked into one of the inns, and saw a Bosmer standing there and she looked absolutely amazing. She had a beautiful face, black eyes and full lips. I was a bit of a Lord Of The Rings fanatic back then, and she reminded me a little of Arwen, so I made a new game and got the character that looked just like her. So in other words, I chose the Bosmer because it's very pretty. :D I didn't like the male Wood Elves though. Fargoth pretty much explains why, with that annoying voice and creepy "I have a feeling that you and I are about to become... VERY close" (Or near enough) chat-up line.

For Oblivion, I chose Breton.

- It was the first Oblivion character I ever used, and I've always enjoyed the magic in Oblivion. I liked the appearance and magicka ability the Breton had, and I always felt I had enough magicka when I walked around the world. I don't think there's any REAL reason why I like them, but it's kind of just my favourite. I don't really like the furry/scaley races, and the others didn't quite live up to my needs.

So what if I talk for hours and make people bored about it - I like talking about races! :D

Thinking back on it, those views aren't so different, are they? o_O
