SLowMoPokes
I've been using the Racial Body Morphs - Diverse body types and height by Race and Gender mod for a while now, but I recently ran into a bit of an issue. I started a new character who's an Altmer and the camera placement really bothered me, since the mod makes the altmer very tall, so I went poking around this forum and I found a way to fix it by editing the skeleton.nif file, which I copied from the 1st person camera fix, which is downloadable alongside the mod, and didn't work for me, and just modifying it's height (1.0020 worked perfectly for me) and installing that single file as a mod.For a while everything worked perfectly. No matter what I did - rode carriages, sat in chairs, my camera height did not change. Then I did the Diplomatic Immunity quest. As soon as I got out of the carriage at the Thalmor embassy I noticed that my entire character model had shrunken, along with the camera height. The model I reverted back to the right size by using the setnpcweight command (the value I set was 50, it seems to work for most humanoid NPCs), but the camera height remained incorrect.I tried reinstalling the camera height patch, reinstalling the entire mod, tried riding a carriage again, reloading an earlier save and much more. That did not fix it.Then I created a new altmer character to see if it would change anything. My makeshift fix worked for the new character, but the old one still wasn't affected. No matter how I what I do, the camera height doesn't change. Now, I'm not awfully familiar with the inner workings of Skyrim and it's engine, but to me it seems like, for some reason the game does not want to associate the skeleton.nif file with my character anymore. As for other mods that edit the skeleton files- as far as I'm aware, I have none. Any help in this matter would be highly appreciated!I'm completely lost here with my nearly non-existent modding experience I've attached my "fix" to this post, it has the edited .nif file in it
yian
You might have already tried this, but I ahve to ask. Have you tried crouching then stand up? For your information, Diplomatic Immunity has screwed up a lot of people's camera height. You're not alone.
