Geck is frozen

I've done that. I figured it out, kind of. The movement and reference settings in the preferences are being zeroed out every time I load the geck. I reset them each time, only to have them zeroed out again next time. Not sure why this is suddenly a problem after all this time.

Weird. I haven't noticed much of a change recently, but quite a few people over the past couple of days have said they have problems. My Blender 2.49 suddenly started acting a bit funny after the recent Windows 10 update, so unless you can think of anything more likely, you could always blame that if it helps.

Getting glictch-ier and glitch-ier with every moment, and I'm not doing anything to it. Terrain like rocks and many other statics aren't showing up in the render window, and I can't adjust anything int he show-hide menu -- it' doesn't take, and un-sets. Ugh, how is it caving in like this? How is that possible?

Apart of the possible problems introduced by Windows update, here's a few questions to help troubleshooting;

1. Is your game (and Geck) installed in Program files?

2. Is your game and Geck 4Gb patched?

3. Does it happen also when you load Geck without mod (FNV.esm only)?

4. How many esm/esp are loaded when you start your work?

5. Did you make any changes in the Geck INI?

6. Regarding Preferences reseting, have you tried to set you preferences, turn the INI to read-only then close Geck?

Even though you solved your issue for the moment, to add to Pixelhate's list, when settings don't seem to "take", check that you aren't running out of free disk space. Windows requires at least 10% of a drive's total capacity to remain free or it starts to refuse to save changes. With Updates being preserved along with "system restore points" and temp files it's easy to lose track of this.
