oxidious88
Just like the title says, at least some gore? or you know, REALISM?? haha I just want to hit someone in the face with a mace and see their face cave in you know? or slice them in the gut with a sword and see their intestines spill out for the kill. It's basically medieval times so why shouldn't it be so barbaric as such.

McclaudEagle
Left 4 Dead 2 had no problems having guts spill out when the zombies are blown in half, so the technology issue is non-existent. I'm not sure if the engine can or can't support things like that, but it certainly can support an increase in gore through simple textures and meshes. If memory serves correctly, it was just a a layer that could be blown away, and if it was more jiggleboned models fell out.Nothing spectacular. My comment was more based against his "bashing a face in with a mace".

It's possible, like buildings are destructable in games the bodies of characters would have to have a mesh that allows allows destruction. No idea how much would need to be put into it, you will be suprised what can be achieved when enough time and effort has been applied. It is hard to justify though for Skyrim simply because of the amount of work and background processes to make it compatible with the game's engine. yota71
In thre game Fallout 3 and new vegas Bathesda Applied the dismembrement, in Skyrim no, Fallout 3 Use another game engine?
McclaudEagle
Whilst Bethesda do say the Creation Engine is new, it's actually not. All they did was heavily edit the Gamebryo Engine (Oblivion/FO3/NV) and due to these edits, were allowed to rename it to the Creation Engine, so no, the engine itself is not actually new. ThyHarrowing
@oxidious88: I'm not aware of a mod that offers dismemberment or gore on quite the scale you describe but there a mod on steam (and I think Skyrim Nexus) called "Crimson Tide - Blood" which makes combat substantially bloodier and does allow you to visibly gash or bruise opponents based on what weapon your using. The gashes in particular look pretty good but I haven't tested out maces to determine the quality effect they have. It's not exactly what you're looking for, I know, but it is a step in the right direction, eh?
