shadowdef
I'll keep this short, I'm working on a mod that has it's own world space's. But I can't get the water LOD to generate throughout the entire world space and I need help to get the LOD working. shadowdef
Seems like this is an issue that very few people know how to fix, I'll keep working on it my self and If I find a solution I'll make sure to post it here for anyone else having this problem. edit: After a few hours of testing I've found that while CK 2.0 can now generate terrain/water it can't generate the LOD more then a few cells distance, no idea why. Will keep working on it, maybe I'll find a solution. zilav
To generate extra water LOD there must be empty cells flagged with "Has Water", CK doesn't create LOD from nothing. Draw a larger square region around your area in region editor, this will create extra empty cells.
shadowdef
Oh cool a new tool to play with, let's see what kind of damage I can do. Thank's again for the help Zilav.
shadowdef
I haven't had much time to work on this due to thanksgiving and will be visiting family till Monday, but in the little bit of time I have had I tripled the number of cells around my world space using region editor but this hasn't generated any additional LOD. My current world size is now -128 -128 124 124. Yes I know very large but I might make use of that space, better to have to much then to little in this case. Anyway if anyone has any insight I would be very grateful.
zilav
That's too much, the worldspace (workable) size limit is 128x128 cells and even Skyrim is less than that. You must regenerate terrain LOD after that. shadowdef
I resized my world to -32 -32 28 28 and got the lod to extend to the borders of my world space. I'm not even sure this is an LOD issue any more, I've generated LOD plenty of times before and never seen this particular issue. Picture: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1209686957 In the region editor I've drawn a -32 -32 32 32 square around my world space. I'm going to keep working on the region editor and see what I can do about it. If nothing else you learn a lot from trial and error.
shadowdef
I've spent to much time on this and my family is started to get angry for not spending time with them so I cheated, I made it so that my world is foggy all the time. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1209715089 http://community.edgecast.steamstatic.com/public/images/skin_1/ico_external_link.gif Spooooooky........ lol
zilav
Looks like new cells are not flagged with "Has Water" or you don't have right water LOD properties set in your worldspace.
shadowdef
I went into the cell editor and "Has water" is checked but at the same time it's greyed out. As for not have the right LOD properties I'm not really sure what you mean, I've played with all of the LOD setting's I could find in the world space editor and world LOD editor. That being said I also use oscape to generate terrain/water LOD as I've had no luck using the CK 2.0 to generate LOD.
