Creating a Custom Key?

Hi!

 

If anyone has the time today, could someone please explain the required steps to create a new (standalone) key that would be specific to one door only (a load door if possible), located within a player home?

Duplacate any key in the CK. Rename the key to whatever you want eg. MyNewKey.

 

One point to note when you make a duplicate. The duplicate doesn't always show up straight away. In this case, just start typing the name of the key that you duplicated in the Filter box and your duplicated key will appear in th list below. Select it, hit F2 and give it a new name. When it asks if you want to create a duplicate, press No. In the next pop-up, press Yes.

 

When placing the door, double click the door to bring up the door properties. Select the Lock tab. Put a tick in the Locked box. Scroll down the Leveled list and select Requires Key. Scroll down the Key list and select MyNewKey (or whatever you named the key)
