So I posted this the other day, like the title says, to the FO4 Steam forums, so far everything everyone's suggested hasn't helped. Was wondering since this is a more technical issue oriented webspace if anyone here would be able to offer any advice not already suggested.

 

Sudden (and HUGE) FPS drop after validating cache

 

So a few weeks back I upgraded from an AMD R9 200 to a Geforce 1060x. TREMENDOUS boost in both quality and performance, went from between 15-30 fps on medium-high settings to a solid 60 with everything on ultra, even in the middle of the city. I was *ecstatic*, to say the least.

Well earlier today I was running into some problems with a couple mods, and validating the cache after deleting the .ini's in the My Games folder seemed to fix it.

Only now my FPS is *god frigging awful* in the city. As in, 1-2 fps in certain parts, an average of 10-15 in most areas. I still get 60 pretty much everywhere else outside the city though. System restore didn't fix it, putting the old ini's back in place didn't fix it, I'm at a loss.

What the hell happened?? And how do I get my beautiful smoothness back? T_T
