SirDanest
I did a search and didn't see anything, so I apologize if it's already been done;I know the subject has been broached years ago, but this may change things?Has anyone seen skyrim's mini-game/tavern games/card games/dice games on the nexus? Someone figured out how to do it, it's pretty neat, if not as polished as the games in New Vegas. I know that papyrus is a different system, but I can't help but wonder if there could potentially be a geck version of something along these lines, now that we've seen it done in a game where gambling wasn't even meant to exist. ObieDwyer
It's very possible yes. Even morrowind and Oblivion had gambling mods, though they don't usually have any fancy UI elements.
SirDanest
I am trying to decide how worth it is to try to figure it out myself. If it was "hopeless" and impossible in the NV scripting engine then I'd want to be warned ahead of time to not waste the time, but I guess it's not hopeless. If even Skyrim can make more casino games...I don't do a lot of scripting, but there's surely a demand for more games in vegas. I guess I'll look into it, thanks. It's something I'd even gladly pay for, if Obsidian went back and added some more well-polished games like poker, dice, and maybe a few inventive new games -- I loved caravan actually, even though a lot of people hated it apparently. And while they were there maybe they could fix the 130-ish mod limit. A video review of the skyrim mods: Using a cup over the dice is, I think, an inventive way to not have to actually show the animated rolling dice. SirDanest
So, exactly how close is Skyrim's scripting to New Vegas? Is conversion a reasonable project if one had the time or would it be writing something pretty much from scratch?
