volvaga0
I am in need of a somewhat talented texture artist to 'retexture' a mesh for me, and add it to a mod as the main texture. The mod in question is this one: http://i.imgur.com/NKkCm.pngAs I've said before in the mod comments, the current texture is abit lackluster in terms of quality/resolution. It looks 'fine' while in 3rd person, but in 1st person you can see its not very high res. The current diffuse texture is just the stock image I used as a reference, scaled up to fit the UV. Ideally I'd like to keep the texture details as they are, just with some high quality 'paintovers'. If you feel you can do better then go ahead, but I'd like to keep the base details as close as possible.I don't really like doing textures at all, it's not my strong point, and is why I am asking for some help from the community. - .PSD LINK WITH UV DATA - (If anyone takes up the task and wishes for me to change the UV's to be more managable, then this can be done. The UV's aren't optimised that well...)
DiGiTALZOMBiE
Theres loads of wasted UV space in your texture sheet, you could do with a link to the model aswell.
volvaga0
Didn't realise anyone replied...Here's a link to the mesh (.OBJ file format) http://www.mediafire.com/?jwe75dgknsn02g1 I don't want any changes to the mesh, it just needs a proper UV map applied and textures as stated in the first post. Any form of help would be Brilliant. I'd usually do this all myself but texturing is not my strong point (for soemthing like this) and I'd like for this to look better than it is currently. (NOTE: I do not give anyone permission to use this mesh anywhere but for help in this thread)
DiGiTALZOMBiE
It's always better to post the model also if your not sure on the texture art side of things. You have to consider both unwrapping and painting in equal measure. A good UV layout can save an artist a whole heap of extra time, not only that its good practise to view your unwrap on the model whilst painting. Ill download both and have a look ;] Can't promise anything super fast! I'm a freelance 3D artist so the day job takes up most of my time. Edited May 2, 2012 by DiGiTALZOMBiE
